End of a Chapter...

It is with sadness that I post that this is the end of a chapter in the story of the Harritt Elementary Library Media Webage. Due to budget cuts in the district the position of Library Media Technology Teacher no longer exists. The library at Harritt will remain open and staffed with the help of an instructional assistant and volunteers. However, there will no longer be instruction in literacy skills or library skills as well as technology instruction from a certified librarian. This blog will remain open as a symbol of what was once taught at Harritt and what has been lost due to lack of funding for education.

Where In the World Is Harritt Elementary School?

Our school is located in the Willamette Valley. We are on the western side of the Cascade Mountain Range and the Eastern side of the Coast Range.


The Willamette Valley is the heart of Oregon's agriculture country.
